The Economic Complexity Index (ECI) and the Product Complexity Index (PCI) are, respectively, measures of the relative knowledge intensity of an economy or a product.
Here we provide estimates of economic complexity based on trade data (ECI trade), patent data (ECI technology), and research publication data (ECI research).
These three complexity measures provide a better ability to explain future economic growth than measures of trade complexity alone (more details).
